Forum Scotland

7 November 2018

Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation (ECCI), University of Edinburgh

Forum Scotland is a fast-paced, content-rich programme delivered by renowned experts covering global issues set in local context. Addressing domestic energy efficiency and reducing fuel poverty.

The scale of the UK’s problem is significant. We recognise that. It’s global and local.

13% of UK CO2 emissions come from heating homes. £3.6bn is to be invested by UK Government to meet the objectives set out in their Clean Growth Strategy published in October 2017 as part of the wider plan to meet Paris Agreement obligations and reduce CO2 emissions from homes by a further 20%. Rapid take up in domestic energy efficiency is vital if the UK is to achieve its global obligations.

Low Carbon Homes community, forums and contributors will play a vital role in ensuring that the UK meets these objectives, helping to drive clean growth, improve energy efficiency and reduce fuel poverty.

The Forums

Low Carbon Homes brings together key influencers and specifiers (landlords, engineers, policy makers) with solution providers (peers, manufacturers, academics).

The Forums offer local focus within the wider UK context, providing case-study based sessions as part of a tailored programme curated around regional needs. The Forums will give delegates plenty of peer-led inspiration and clear routes towards a low carbon future.
