Marketing and Communications Manager | OFTEC
Malcolm Farrow joined OFTEC in 2011 after a career in marketing and communication within the charity and public sector. As OFTEC’s Marketing and Communications Manager, Malcolm leads on Public Relations and media liaison and is heavily involved in OFTEC’s heat policy engagement. A key element of OFTEC’s mission is to ensure that government policies do not unfairly discriminate against rural homeowners and to develop a low carbon replacement for kerosene, which is used as a heating fuel by more than 1.5m UK off-gas-grid homes.
OFTEC is a ‘not-for-profit’ trade organisation for the heating and cooking industries in the UK and Republic of Ireland and aims to support the needs of heating users by promoting the highest professional and technical standards for technicians and businesses working in the industry. As part of this work OFTEC offers competent person registration for heating technicians undertaking oil, solid fuel and renewable heating work.
