David currently leads on the innovation portfolio, as Associate Dean (Enterprise and Innovation) for the Faculty of Technology at the University of Portsmouth. He currently leads Clean Growth projects (both ERDF and UK government funded with a total value of £5M and is involved as Co-I on the INTERREG project – Solarise. David is the Director of Greentech South and a founder board member of Future South, a business-led triple helix partnership that is working towards a low carbon economy in the South of England. This partnership includes businesses such as Southern Water, IBM and Southern and Scottish Electricity Networks. Together they have leveraged over £60M regional investment, created over 350 clean growth jobs, helped to establish the Hampshire Community Bank, worked with over 250 businesses on low carbon innovation projects, and created Greentech South – an innovation and technology cluster and the first ‘Energy and Environment’ accredited cluster in the UK.
