Dr. Ian Cairns

Teaching Associate, Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship - Strathclyde University
Iain is a Researcher in the Hunter Centre of Entrepreneurship in the University of Strathclyde. His work focuses on organisational innovation and democratic governance of firms to drive sustainability. He is currently working on a UK Energy Research Council funded project with a team situated at the University of Strathclyde, The University of Sussex and University of Leeds which is exploring the barriers to the uptake of retrofit amongst owner-occupiers deemed ‘able to pay’. His most recent publications concern community energy finance, social intrepreneurship and energy poverty but he has also published work on investment, banking and industrial strategy.
