Supply Chain Sustainability School

James heads up Action Sustainability’s Consultancy Team and has worked in sustainability and sustainable procurement for more than 20 years. He has extensive experience of assessing the sustainability impacts that products have through their life cycle and supply chains and has applied that to sustainable supply chain policies & initiatives. James has led many projects on developing green/sustainable procurement policies, criteria, guidance and codes of conduct.

He has also undertaken many carbon footprinting studies in order to assess and improve product sustainability performance. He delivers training and technical support on carbon and climate change through the Supply Chain Sustainability School and has worked with a variety of sectors and organisations, including Network Rail, Balfour Beatty, Barratt Developments, Tesco, IKEA, Rolls Royce, Unilever, Vodafone, various parts of the NHS, Defra and the European Commission.
