Toby is a Director of Greengauge, a building and engineering consultancy specialising in sustainable, low energy design.
He leads the building physics team on a variety of projects including heritage retrofit and Passivhaus. They undertake moisture risk analysis and thermal performance analysis on a consultancy and research basis. Toby is experienced with a range of tools for assessing whole-building energy efficiency, component performance and moisture risk.
“I’m an engineer intrigued by how buildings work, and how they fail. I’m always thinking about how our desktop work relates to the real world; how we can close the feedback loop and the performance gap.”
Toby is a member of Technical Working Group 1 (Modelling and Monitoring) for the Centre for Moisture in Buildings, and is a regular guest lecturer at UWE.
